The Covid-19 pandemic had a major impact on the weakening of the economic cycle, including in Maluku and North Maluku Provinces. The government recorded that from 373,109 confirmed patient cases on October 22, 2020, 2,180 of them came from North Maluku and 3,624 from Maluku.
Departing from this restlessness, EcoNusa is committed to supporting the independence of natural resource management by prioritizing environmental sustainability, building food security, and preventing the spread of Covid-19 through the Maluku EcoNusa Expedition. In this mission, EcoNusa collaborates with the PakaTiva Association, Walhi, and several other communities.
