Defending Paradise

Birds-of-paradise are among the most intriguing and diverse families of birds, that truly represent the unique amalgamation of abiotic and biotics factors throughout Indonesia papua, Papua New Guinea, and eastern Australia, as well as rapid evolutionary processes. These birds are sentinels of their broader environment and highlight the need for conservation programs to protect their many habitats, which in turn are shared by a wide array of endemic and diverse flora and fauna.
