Communities in Keerom Regency and Jayapura Regency have been cultivating vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) for years. However, they have not yet got optimal results due to the lack of information on vanilla cultivation. EcoNusa Foundation with Perkumpulan terbatas untuk Pengkajian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Adat Papua (Pt.PPMA) initiated series of trainings through Vanilla Cultivation Village Schools on February 19-March 4 2023. 4 villages were participated on this comprehensive vanilla agriculture training, which were from Uskwar Village and Wembi Village in Keerom District, as well as Rephang Muaif Village and Sarmai Atas Village in Jayapura Regency.
