35 women from agricultural groups in South Arefi and East Arefi Villages, North Batanta District, Raja Ampat Regency attended organic farming training on 27 July – 4 August 2023. Through this training activity, they gained knowledge on how to manage land, nurseries, maintenance, control of plant pests and diseases, and also post-production treatment. They also practice the manufacture of natural fertilizers and pesticides. This is expected to support local women to be more empowered by managing their gardens, as well as being able to improve their household’s economy.
