Paralegal and Advocacy Training for Woman in Tanah Papua

To preserve our environment, we go beyond just protecting ecosystems but also important to empower the indigenous and local communities in the land of Papua to defend their customary lands. Through paralegal training, EcoNusa is nurturing the strength of women in Papua island, ensuring they stand firm in safeguarding their territorial rights. Sixteen incredible women from Sorong Regency, South Sorong, South Manokwari, and Raja Ampat, all enthusiastically participated on the training. Over an exciting 3-day journey, Mama and Kakak delved into a range of engaging training topics such as legal intro, Indonesia’s legal system and judiciary, legal instruments in Indonesia related to indigenous communities and many more. As part of the ongoing plan, these passionate participants identified the most critical issues facing their villages with continous support from EcoNusa.
