Paralegal and Advocacy Training for Clergy in South Papua

A basic understanding of law and advocacy is essential for community leaders, including spiritual leaders. 31 representative spiritual leaders from the Indonesian Protestant Church (Gereja Protestan Indonesia / GPI) in Klasis Merauke, Kafalabop, and Muting participated in a paralegal and advocacy training organized by the EcoNusa Foundation (13-15 July 2023) in Merauke, South Papua Province. The training covered topics such as paralegalism, advocacy, legal instruments for the protection of indigenous communities, and other related subjects, with group discussions and practical exercises.
