Welcome to the Egek Festival 2023! Egek is a local wisdom of Moi Tribe in Malaumkarta, Makbon District, Sorong, Southwest Papua, to preserve their marine biodiversity. The opening of Egek Festival 2023 on June 5th, 2023 was attended by local governments, NGO partners, local communities and the general public in Sorong. Moi Tribe welcomed guests of the Egek Festival with their traditional dance called a’leing and wore the traditional costume called “angsling” that made of agmai wood.
