Defending Paradise

I have been captivated by these marvelous, fantastical birds since I was a little girl, after discovering them in a National Geographic magazine.
For me it’s as if like Mother Nature, after finishing her work designing all the other creatures, decided to sign off with one final, most extravagant, flourish. Here she put men in their place, drab and on the ground. It is our duty and our privilege to protect them.
