Young people in the Land of Papua and Maluku Island have significant concern for the state of the forest, marine, and environmental ecosystems. The impacts of climate crisis are already strongly felt, leading to a critical awareness of the need to reduce its effects. Ten representatives of the youth, who are part of the EcoDefender community from Ambon, Sorong, South Sorong, Jayapura, Merauke, Ternate, and Manokwari, gathered for a Youth Strategic Meeting. Over the course of 3 days (11-13/8) at the Learning Center in Kampung Mibi, Makbon District, Sorong City, Southwest Papua, they engaged in discussions and devised strategies and action plans aimed at preserving the forest and marine ecosystems in their areas.
