On December 3 to 6, 2024, EcoNusa held a strategic meeting in Jakarta to formulate the program plans for 2025. This meeting resulted in four strategic plans that will guide the organization in its efforts to achieve sustainability and economic independence for the community.
Four Strategic Plans for EcoNusa 2025:
- Creation of Policy Harmonization and Development Agenda: EcoNusa is committed to promoting synergy among existing policies to support a sustainable development agenda in Eastern Indonesia.
- Increased Capacity of Local Partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Networks in Natural Resource Management: By enhancing the capacity of local CSOs, EcoNusa aims to strengthen more effective and sustainable natural resource management.
- Development of Innovative Natural Resource Management Models: The main highlight of this meeting was the development of innovative natural resource management models, particularly through collaboration with indigenous communities. EcoNusa believes that managing an economy based on local commodities and sustainability will reinforce the values of sustainability in resource management.
- EcoNusa as a Transparent and Accountable Change Organization: In its efforts to build public trust, EcoNusa is committed to being an organization that is transparent and accountable in every step it takes.
By focusing on collaboration with indigenous communities, EcoNusa seeks to develop economic independence that not only provides economic benefits but also preserves environmental sustainability. Through this initiative, EcoNusa hopes to strengthen natural resource management with strong sustainability values, creating a positive impact for communities and ecosystems in Eastern Indonesia.
