Mid-Year Review KOBUMI and EcoNusa Foundation: Strengthening Social Enterprises for Sustainable Indigenous Communities

The Semester I Evaluation, held on August 4–5, 2025, in Ambon, served as an important opportunity to reflect on achievements and plan strategies for the future. The event was attended by the EcoNusa Foundation and KOBUMI, as a social enterprise supporting the trade of indigenous and local community products. This agenda stood as a significant moment to set a clearer direction for Semester II, in line with commitments to environmental, social, and fair supply chain governance.

Several strategic actions were agreed upon, aimed not only at boosting productivity in customary forests and community-managed areas, but also at generating tangible economic benefits for the communities. Enabling Indigenous Peoples to grow independently, create added value from their environment, and at the same time safeguard the forests and seas that sustain their livelihoods.
