Religion has an important role in regulating the aspects of human life, and providing guidance towards the common good, including to nature. The value of preserving the environment is also something that needs to be taught and instilled from an early age. The Fellowship of Indonesian Churches (PGI) in the Tanah Papua gathered and held a Sunday School Teacher Workshop and Training for Forest Protection and Nature Preservation (17-21/9) in Jayapura, Papua. In line with this principle, the EcoNusa Foundation also supports this event with the hope that Sunday School students can become the next religious generation who are aware and want to take part in protecting nature in Tanah Papua.
