EcoNusa Foundation conducted a Capacity Building Workshop on the Formulation of Sustainable KLHS and RPJPD in Papua and Maluku on May 29, 2024, in Sorong. The workshop aimed to provide support to at least 7 districts spread across Papua and Maluku to ensure sustainable development directions for the next 20 years. It is hoped that these development directions will emphasize the balance of social, economic, and environmental aspects, particularly highlighting successful practices of sustainable development, especially those based on indigenous communities and their customary territories. The resulting Sustainable KLHS RPJPD and RPJPD documents will also be used to guide policy directions for the newly elected regional leaders.
