The majority of the community in Kampung Konda and Kampung Wamargege in South Sorong, Southwest Papua, rely on marine products for their livelihood, especially shrimp. They sell these shrimp to middlemen. Since early 2023, the Fgan Fen Sisi Cooperative has been established to support the welfare of the communities in these two villages. Fgan Fen Sisi was built to accommodate and distribute potential commodities in the Sorong Regency, especially villages located in the Konda District, including Kampung Manelek, Nakna, Bariat, Konda, and Wamargege. On Friday, March 8, 2024, members of the Fgan Fen Sisi Cooperative held their Annual Members Meeting to close the books for 2023. The board of directors reported the cooperative’s performance to the members.
