In an effort to enhance the quality of local products and add value to the community in Konda, South Sorong, 20 participants from the Fgan Fen Sisi Cooperative attended a shrimp broth powder production training on October 19, 2024. This training, organized in collaboration between the EcoNusa Foundation and the Angin Foundation, aimed to strengthen participants’ technical skills and production methods, enabling them to produce high-quality broth powder, increase the product’s economic value, and create value-added products that could boost their income.
The training began with a presentation by Rafly from Seniman Pangan, who introduced key concepts such as “Nurturing World-Class Creative Foodpreneurs,” food safety, good production practices, and the components of production costs. Participants then engaged in hands-on practice to produce shrimp broth powder, with each group fulfilling their roles according to the established SOPs.
The participants were divided into three main groups: the Production Group, consisting of Mrs. Yulita Sawor and several others, responsible for the broth production process; the Equipment Group, in charge of preparing the necessary tools; and the Raw Materials Preparation Group, tasked with preparing the required ingredients.
This initiative aimed not only to produce high-quality products but also to build strong skills foundations for participants, open new business opportunities, and boost the local economy.
