The Ireres tribe’s community has come to the realization that the territory they inhabit possesses exquisite beauty and high potential for natural resources. In order to safeguard their territory, 30 members of the community from 12 major clans, namely Syufi, Fatemasa, Aibesa I, Aibesa II, Apoki, Aneti, Airai, Isuskey, Sasyor, Umagi, Fanemato, and Aifamas, actively participated in the Participatory Mapping Training hosted by the EcoNusa Foundation from July 24 to August 7, 2023. The training, which took place in Asiti Village, Ireres District, Tambrauw Regency, was planned as a follow-up to the previous FPIC (Free, Prior, and Informed Consent) training. The participants demonstrated great enthusiasm including the female leaders of the village that actively engaged during the training. Assisted by EcoNusa, the participants will undertake 11 activities as a follow-up to this training.
