The value of forests cannot be overstated. From the oxygen we breathe to the wood we consume, we rely on forests for survival. Forests, in addition to providing habitat for animals and livelihoods for humans, preserve watersheds, reduce soil erosion, and moderate climate change. Nonetheless, despite our reliance on trees, we are letting them to go. Also, biodiversity supports functional ecosystems that offer oxygen, clean air and water, plant pollination, insect control, wastewater treatment, and a variety of other ecosystem services. #DefendingParadise
